Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Beaver Development uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your browsing experience.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website.

Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve our website's performance.

Functionality Cookies

These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make (such as your language preference) and provide enhanced, more personalized features.

Marketing Cookies

These cookies are used to track visitors across websites to display relevant and engaging advertisements. They may be set by third-party advertising networks.

Third-Party Cookies

We use third-party services that set cookies. Each one belongs to a category you choose in the banner, and none of them is requested before you have consented to that category:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, for website analytics.
  • Analytics: Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are scrolled and clicked so we can find what is hard to use.
  • Marketing: the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which measures what our LinkedIn campaigns lead to and lets us show our ads to people who have visited the site.

Marketing is a separate choice from analytics. Accepting analytics does not load the LinkedIn Insight Tag, because a retargeting pixel needs its own consent rather than being carried along by a single button.

Your Cookie Choices

The banner on your first visit lets you accept everything, reject everything, or choose the analytics and marketing categories separately. Your choice is stored in your browser under cookieConsent and is not sent to us.

To change it later, clear your site data for this website in your browser settings and the banner will ask again. Refusing a category also removes the tags for it from the page you are on.

Error Monitoring

When a page throws an error in your browser, we post a report to a Grafana Faro collector that we run ourselves. It is first party, sets no cookie, stores no identifier, and does not follow you between pages or visits.

The report contains the error message, its stack trace and the address of the page it happened on, and nothing else is read out of the page. Because it is not tracking and is needed to keep the site working, we rely on our legitimate interest rather than on your consent, which is why it is not one of the choices in the banner. Write to us at the address below to object.

Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific websites
  • Block all cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that deleting or blocking cookies may impact your user experience and some features of the website may not function properly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
